With Joe Burrow taking home the 2019 Heisman Trophy, the college football futures market has fully moved towards the 2020 Heisman Trophy Odds and the top favorites.
Joe Burrow is expected to enter the 2020 NFL Draft, along with many other college players that were in the Heisman race including Jalen Hurts and Chase Young. They are not all confirmed, as you will see some in the 2020 Heisman Odds chart below, but those are tough bets given the likelihood of their NFL future.

Justin Fields Heisman Odds
At +300, Fields is currently the favorite for the 2020 Heisman Trophy. Fields finished fourth in the 2019 Heisman voting, behind Joe Burrow, Jalen Hurts, and Chase Young. But, Fields received the second-most first-place votes at 20 (Burrow received 841).
Fields is expected to lead the Buckeyes’ offense once again in 2020, after a terrific season in 2019. Expect him to enter the NFL Draft next year, so it’s an all or nothing campaign in 2020 for Fields.
Trevor Lawrence Heisman Odds
Lawrence is still likely the most polarizing QB NFL prospect in college football, and he will enter his third season with Clemson as a +400 favorite to win the Heisman.
Lawrence was a heavy favorite entering this season, but a slow start combined with Burrow’s video game numbers ended the Heisman campaign quickly for Lawrence. But, keep in mind just how good he was after the slow start. Lawrence still finished with 3,172 yards and 34 TD to just eight picks on the season, and ran for over 400 yards and seven scores.
Lawrence is the better betting value between the top two QBs at the moment.
Spencer Rattler 2020 Heisman Favorite?
You may be wondering just who Spencer Rattler is, but he will be a household name for one reason or another this offseason into next season. Rattler comes in at +800 to win the Heisman Trophy, and if not for Jalen Hurts transferring to Oklahoma we likely would have seen Rattler play in 2019.
Rattler was a top-QB prospect in the 2019 class, committing to Oklahoma in the summer of 2017. He knew where he was going, and it’s almost time for him to shine. In limited action in 2019, Rattler threw for 73 yards and a score on just eight attempts. He is a record-setting HS quarterback, and will be the next trick up Lincoln Riley’s sleeve, assuming he stays at Oklahoma
Notable Players to Watch
Bo Nix +1200
Nix was an up and down prospect in 2019, but he will enter the offseason as a +1200 prospect. As a true freshman in the SEC, Nix led Auburn to a 9-3 overall record with losses to Georgia, LSU, and Florida.
Nix will be a player to watch, with a full season of starting quarterback experience under his belt under Gus Malzahn. Get ready for Auburn to be a popular pick each for SVP’s Winners.
Jaylen Waddle +3300
Jaylen Waddle is a problem. He has not had the opportunity to shine as a WR1 in Alabama given all the weapons around him, but with a few leaving for the NFL, Waddle will have his chance to shine in 2020.
Waddle has caught 77 passes for over 1400 yards and 13 scores in two years at Alabama, and is the best returner in the country with 19 punt returns for 474 yards and a score and four kick returns for 152 yards and a score.
Expect Waddle to be a focal point in Alabama’s offense in 2020, making him a fun bet at +3300.
