With the 2020 NFL regular season coming to a close, it is now 2021 and the NFL playoffs are here. With that comes severe movement in the Super Bowl futures market, as there will be a dwindling list to choose from going forward. With just 14 teams remaining entering the first round of the playoffs, the prices may never get better for some teams, and others will be out after this week. Let’s take a look at the updated Super Bowl odds.

Last week to this week showed a massive move for some teams, while others were left off completely. The Chiefs still lead, but they are closely followed by Green Bay, Buffalo, and New Orleans. Let’s take a look at the latest.

Latest 2021 Super Bowl Odds

With just 14 teams remaining, there really are not many longshots worth wagering on. This is a great time to hedge for those that still have live futures tickets, or for those that wish to wager on which teams will win the Super Bowl with value. Many love to wager on the Ravens, given their depth as a roster in a relatively weaker AFC besides Kansas City and Buffalo. The Ravens are +1100 to win the Super Bowl.

Buffalo Bills Super Bowl odds rise as NFL playoffs begin

Look at the Buffalo Bills! Buffalo is the champion of the AFC East, and their Super Bowl odds have increased from +900 to +700. Buffalo has the third-best odds to win the Super Bowl at DraftKings Sportsbook, and look to be the class of the AFC after the Chiefs. There has been no team with more significant movement than the Bills this season in the NFL, as Buffalo’s odds started at +2500 before Week 1. Buffalo takes on the Indianapolis Colts in the first week of the playoffs, and they are seven-point favorites at home.

Buffalo Bills +700 +900

Green Bay Packers poised to make a run at Super Bowl

This could be one of the better teams the Packers have ever had, and Aaron Rodgers is playing at an MVP-level. The Packers have the top overall seed in the NFC, and they will receive a first-round bye. Green Bay was one of only two teams to score 500 points this season (Bills) and they led the NFL in total points (509). If the Packers’ defense can hold up, they will most certainly be the NFC representative in the Super Bowl. The Packers’ odds rose from +525 to +450 after clinching home-field throughout the NFC playoffs.

Wild Card Weekend Super Bowl Odds Movement

With the close in the regular season, there are only 14 teams remaining in the hunt for the Super Bowl. After this week, six will be eliminated which brings the pool to eight teams. The key for Super Bowl futures is to capitalize on the value of which teams at certain times. That’s what we saw from last week to this week, as the Ravens, Rams, Bills, Packers, and other teams saw their odds change. Matchups are everything in the NFL playoffs, so taking advantage of those leading up to the Super Bowl is key. Let’s take a look at the stock watches for those teams who have moved up and down entering Wild Card weekend.

Super Bowl Odds Movement – Stock Up in Wild Card Weekend

Team Current Super Bowl Odds Week 17 to Current Movement
Cleveland Browns +5000 +1000
Baltimore Ravens +1100 +300
Los Angeles Rams +3000 +300
Buffalo Bills +700 +200
Tampa Bay Buccaneers +1000 +100
Green Bay Packers +450 +75

There are six teams that saw their odds increase from Week 17 to now, and all six have bettered their chances with a bye or a playoff-clinching win. The Browns moved the move, from +6000 to +5000, but they have a head coach with COVID-19 that will not be able to coach the playoff game. The Ravens, Rams, Bills, Bucs, and Packers all saw minor increases, but increases nonetheless. The Ravens at +1100 are the most attractive of the bunch, and their odds are most likely to decrease the most after a win. The Rams are long shots as are the Browns, but they have tough matchups this week to advance.

Super Bowl Odds Movement – Stock Down in Wild Card Weekend

Team Current Super Bowl Odds Week 17 to Current Movement
Chicago Bears +10000 -3000
Indianapolis Colts +4000 -700
Seattle Seahawks +1400 -400
New Orleans Saints +750 -50
Kansas City Chiefs +225 -35

Five teams’ odds fell in Week 17, but still are in the hunt. The Bears moved from +7000 to +10000, as they have little or no chance to win against a Saints team getting healthier. The Bears are 9.5-point underdogs. The Colts won, but they take on the Bills who are seven-point favorites in the playoffs. Seattle’s odds dropping are interesting, but it is because they now will likely only host one playoff game, hurting their chances. The Saints and Chiefs saw minor decreases, as they are the top few seeds in their respective conferences.
