Buccaneers vs. Packers Game Preview
Lucky for us, this matchup will feature a pair of future Hall of Fame quarterbacks in Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers, both of whom are coming off big wins in their respective NFC Divisional Round matchups. These two teams faced off during the regular season, with Tampa Bay coming out on top by a score of 38-10. It was actually the Packers’ only game this year that didn’t include a Rodgers touchdown pass, so if there’s any defensive unit that could contain the superstar quarterback, it might be the Buccaneers.’
Regardless, Rodgers is playing fantastic football as of late and has combined for 10 touchdown passes and just one pick in his last three games. Keeping a balanced offensive attack with Rodgers and running back Aaron Jones should lead to the Packers finding success against a talented Tampa defense that was top 10 in both total yards allowed and scoring during the regular season.
The last time these two teams played, Rodgers couldn’t conjure up much success through the air and was sacked four times. If the Buccaneers defense wants to outplay the opponent, it’s going to need to bring the pressure and get off the field on third down in order for Brady and his slate of offensive weapons to get to work.

NFC Championship Prediction
It’s easy to look at the final score of the regular-season matchup and believe the Buccaneers will win by a significant amount. But that was just a fluke game for both Rodgers and the Packers. Head coach Matt LaFleur and his superstar quarterback will be smart enough to figure out the Tampa defense en route to a victory, but a close one at that. Expect the margin on the scoreboard to be slim right down to the final whistle, with Green Bay winning by three.
Thus, given the Packers are -4.0, take Tampa with the spread but Green Bay on the moneyline, and also hammer the over. Either team has hit the over 10 times this year while possessing an average total that’s above the over-under of 52.0 points.
