The NFL is flexing the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks game to Sunday Night Football for Week 7. It makes sense considering the hot streaks that both teams are on. The Seahawks are 5-0 and in first place in the NFC West while the Cardinals are opening eyes with a 4-2 record. Arizona just blasted the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football.
The Seahawks are among the favorites to win the Super Bowl this year and the Cardinals are quietly moving up the charts. This is a massive game for both teams and it’s one of the best matchups of the week.

Cardinals – Seahawks SNF Week 7[metabet_core_game_tile query=”nfl/seahawks” site_id=”actionrush”]
The Seahawks are -3 heading into this game, but there are some books where bettors can get the Cardinals at +3.5. Seattle is -182 on the moneyline which implies a 65% chance at winning.
The total points mark is set to 55.5 which shouldn’t come as a huge surprise. Both teams can score points in bunches and this Seattle defense is a far cry from the Legion of Boom from a few years ago. Injuries are putting the Seahawks in a tough position defensively.
SNF Preview & Betting Angles
This game will feature one of the best quarterback matchups of the weekend. Russell Wilson is the early favorite to win MVP and he’s carrying the Seattle offense to new heights. Wilson is guiding his squad to the top of the NFL in offensive efficiency.
The Seahawks are leading the NFL in points per game (33.8) while Wilson is leading the league in passing touchdowns (19), passer rating (129.8), and yards per attempt (8.9). One of the reasons why Seattle’s run defense has been so strong this year is because teams are often playing from behind and abandoning the run game.
When it comes to Arizona, Kyler Murray is one of the fastest rising stars in the NFL. Even when he isn’t getting it done through the air, he’s still so dangerous in the run game. In the Week 6 win over the Cowboys, Murray only completed nine of 24 passes for 188 yards and two scores, but he also ran for 74 yards and a touchdown.
Establishing the running game and keeping Wilson off the field is going to be a major key for the Cardinals on Sunday. The good news is that Kenyan Drake appears to be emerging from a recent slump. He ran for 164 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries on Monday night. If he can continue to be effective, Arizona will be loaded in the running game with Drake, Murray, and Chase Edmonds.
The Seahawks typically have one of the better defenses in the NFL, but 2020 hasn’t been the same as years past. The defense is completely banged up. They traded for All-Pro safety Jamal Adams during the offseason but he’s only played in three games so far this year. Adams isn’t practicing yet this week and his status for Sunday’s game is still up in the air.
The All-Pro is one of the best defensive players in football and the Seahawks are really missing his presence. Adams can play coverage, line up in the box to stop the run, rush the quarterback, and everything in between. If Seattle doesn’t have Adams, keeping Murray in check will be a much tougher task.
Both teams have been strong against the spread this season. The Seahawks are 4-1 against the spread while the Cardinals are 4-2. When it comes to the total points, the Cardinals have hit the under five times and pushed once. The Seahawks are 3-2 on over-unders so far this season.

Betting Picks & Score Prediction
Go with the under on the total points for this one. The Cardinals and Seahawks are both capable of airing it out and putting up a ton of points, but Arizona has a strong tendency to hit the under this year. Look for head coach Kliff Kingsbury to try and slow the game down by running the football. That’s the best way to keep Russell Wilson in check right now.
