We take a deep dive into the 2020 NFL Draft Odds for Ohio State Heisman finalist Chase Young.
Which NFL team is favored to draft Chase Young?
What are the over-under odds for Chase Young’s NFL draft selection?
All eyes in the NFL world will be focused on the NFL Draft after free agency has died down, and with coronavirus concerns sweeping the sports world the NFL Draft is one of the few sporting events that bettors can wager on in April. This is one of the few draft classes that the best player in the draft may be going second overall. That is what happens when a team needs a quarterback.
Ohio State defensive end Chase Young has been dubbed as one of the best prospects in a long time at the position, and he has quite a few NFL Draft props and betting odds surrounding his name. Let’s take a look at where Chase Young could be drafted, props, odds, and more.
Chase Young DE I think is the best player in the Draft. In my Mock Draft I have him going to the @Redskins . I think he is better coming out of college than Myles Garrett, Jadeveon Clowney and Mario Williams. @OhioStateFB @nflnetwork pic.twitter.com/3IOdii9cvC

Chase Young NFL Draft Props
At DraftKings Sportsbook, there are over a half-dozen props that bettors can wager on for the upcoming NFL Draft that include Chase Young. Whether it’s a player-specific betting market or a larger market where Young is a selection, there are props available in many facets. Let’s look into it.
First Overall Pick
The general consensus is that Joe Burrow will be the number one overall pick in the NFL Draft, as his odds are -10000. You can bet on Chase Young here, as a +2000 underdog. Young was actually third on this list of odds, as Tua Tagovailoa was +1600. Now with Tua’s odds dropping to +2500, Young seems like a lock for number two. It would be a massive upset if Burrow was not selected here.
Second Overall Pick
Young is now -2000, up from -305 to be selected second overall, and is the favorite. After him is Tua Tagovailoa at +1000, Joe Burrow at +3300, then Justin Herbert at +3300. The Redskins are fully expected to take Young here, but crazier things have happened. -2000 is a ton of juice, but there still seems to be value here. The one drawback could be if another team trades up to Washington’s spot and selects a QB, the Chase Young going second overall prop would lose.
First Defensive Player Drafted
This is where the odds get crazy. Chase Young is -2000 to be the first defensive player drafted on DraftKings Sportsbook. The only other threat to Young would be cornerback Jeffrey Okudah here but he seems destined to go after Young.
Second Defensive Player Drafted
In this market, Young is +1600 to be the second defensive player drafted. It would be a very unlikely scenario, as Okudah is -167 to be the second defensive player picked, and Isaiah Simmons is +200 to be second.
First Defensive Lineman Drafted
Not often are things considered “locks”, but this is all but a lock here. You would have to pay for it though as DraftKings Sportsbook has Chase Young at -10000 to be the first defensive lineman drafted.
Chase Young’s Team Specials
What looks to be the most competitive of the markets, “Chase Young Specials” on DraftKings Sportsbook is a betting market on where Young will be playing in 2020. Here’s a quick look at the top 10 teams in terms of odds to draft Chase Young.

Where Does Chase Young Get Drafted?
The #Redskins have plenty of holes, but Chase Young, Montez Sweat, Matt Ionnaidas, Jon Allen, and Daron Payne are going to be an absolute nightmare for offenses to deal with.
— Jordan Reid (@JReidNFL) March 23, 2020
As TheDraftNetwork’s Jordan Reid says, the Redskins’ defensive line could be “an absolute nightmare” should they draft Chase Young. Based on the betting markets, that is what is fully expected. The Redskins select second overall in the NFL Draft, and the pick is likely to be Chase Young, Defensive End, Ohio State. Look for Chase Young to join the Redskins under new head coach Ron Rivera and be a disruptive player right away.
