Cowherd NFL picks this week

FoxSports’ Colin Cowherd has turned into quite the polarizing handicapper, for better or for worse. In what is called the “Blazing 5” segment on “The Herd”, Cowherd breaks down his favorite five games and usually makes five picks each week of the NFL season. This week, he has a “Blazin 6” with one bonus pick.

After starting out hot, Cowherd has been up and down. Some bad beats, some good wins, some bad picks, and more. Last week fantastic for Cowherd, among his best weeks of the year.

Entering Week 14, his record was 32-31-2

Last Week’s Cowherd’s Blazing 5:

  • Baltimore Ravens -5.5 @ Buffalo BillsWIN
  • Cleveland Browns -7.5 vs. Cincinnati Bengals – WIN
  • Denver Broncos +8.5 @ Houston TexansWIN
  • Kansas City Chiefs +3 @ New England PatriotsWIN
  • Arizona Cardinals +2.5 vs. Pittsburgh SteelersLOSS

Cowherd went 4-1 last week, crushing in Week 14, which grew his record quite a bit above .500.

The only pick Cowherd missed on was the Cardinals +2.5 against the Steelers. Kyler Murray threw three interceptions in a bad loss for the Cardinals, and the only loss of the week for Cowherd.

After a 1-4 week two weeks ago, this was badly needed for Cowherd.

NFL Week 15 Colin Cowherd Blazing 5 Picks

Cowherd’s Week 15 NFL picks are located below. His Blazing 5 Picks are released each week on Friday’s during his show. This week, Cowherd has a special “Blazin’ 6” with six picks!

  • Seattle Seahawks -6 @ Carolina Panthers
  • Chicago Bears +4.5 @ Green Bay Packers
  • Houston Texans +3.5 @ Tennessee Titans
  • Oakland Raiders -6.5 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
  • Los Angeles Rams -1 @ Dallas Cowboys
  • BONUS PICK! Buffalo Bills +2 @ Pittsburgh Steelers

In Week 15, Cowherd likes three underdogs and three favorites. All three underdogs are 4.5 points or less, so Cowherd loves the road dogs in the Bears, Texans, and Bills.

The favorites Cowherd likes are the Seahawks on the road, the Raiders on the road, and the Rams on the road. All three are less than a touchdown spread.

Of the six picks this week, Cowherd likes five road teams, and just one team at home. His only home pick is the Oakland Raiders against the Jaguars, who Cowherd believes have quit on their coach.

Cowherd likes the Chicago Bears a lot this week. He is a fan of what Mitchell Trubisky has done of late. In addition, Cowherd mentions his love for Matt Nagy, and also likes the Bears to WIN against the Packers based on the fact that the Bears have limited the Packers to around 17 points per game of late, per Cowherd.

The Blazin’ 5 has a winning record in 10 of 14 weeks so far this season, but with six picks this week, Cowherd has a chance to go below .500, even, or way above .500. He is certainly going for it.

Cowherd Blazin’ 5 Pick by Pick Analysis

Cowherd has SIX picks this week!

Seattle Seahawks -6 @ Carolina Panthers

The Seahawks are a favorite of Cowherd’s this week, as the Panthers have turned the ball over a ton and have a new coach after firing Riverboat Ron.

Per Cowherd, Russell Wilson has been better on the road which allows him to love the Seahawks at -6 this weekend.

Chicago Bears +4.5 @ Green Bay Packers

As mentioned above, the host of “The Herd” is a big fan of the Bears this week getting points in Green Bay.

Trubisky has played much better of late, but the Packers are one of the better teams in the NFC based on record so this is an interesting pick, especially because of Rodgers’ track record in Green Bay.

Houston Texans +3.5 @ Tennessee Titans

Cowherd is a fan of betting on teams that have a “better” quarterback than their opponent and is getting points.

That is the case this weekend with the Texans and Deshaun Watson against a red-hot Titans team. Despite Tannehill’s progress this season, Cowherd still likes the Texans after a disappointing week last week.

Oakland Raiders -6.5 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Raiders are favored by nearly a touchdown this weekend, but Cowherd does not mind the points given his belief that Jacksonville has quit on their coach. That combined with the fact that the Raiders are at home in their last game in Oakland plays a big factor.

Los Angeles Rams -1 @ Dallas Cowboys

This was simple analysis for Cowherd, as he cited Dallas OC Kellen Moore and the Cowboys struggles against veteran defensive coordinators this season.

The Rams have quietly been a much better team of late, and Cowherd likes them to cover just one point in Dallas against the reeling Cowboys.

Buffalo Bills +2 @ Pittsburgh Steelers

This was Cowherd’s “bonus” pick, as he has a Blazin’ 6 this week.

Again, this is a game where a team with the better quarterback is getting points which seems to be in Cowherd’s formula for picking games.

The Steelers have been a great story this season, but the Bills defense is terrific and their offense has more talent at this point. Bills +2 is Cowherd’s final pick of the week.
