CFP National Title Odds
  • With the return of BIG 10 football, sportsbooks are once again listing the conference in the latest odds to win the College Football Playoffs.
  • Ohio State leads BIG 10 teams with +250 odds to win the National Title.

The College Football Playoff is up for grabs in this bizarre 2020 college football season. For a while, it looked like the College Football Playoff would be a battle between the SEC, ACC, and Big 12.

But as Lee Corso would say, not so fast my friend. The Big Ten, after months of indecision, is going to have an eight-game season made up entirely of conference games. As a result, there are new odds to win the CFP championship and the Big Ten is very much in the mix.

Ohio State is expected to be the top team in the Big Ten and they are +250 to win the College Football Playoff Championship. They only trail one team — Clemson — in the odds right now. Penn State (+2800), Michigan (+4000), and Wisconsin (+4000) are also in the mix, and it would be unwise to rule anyone out in this crazy year of college football.

Even though Ohio State is the No. 2 favorite to win it all, the margin for error is going to be so slim for teams in the Big Ten. One loss could be enough to end championship dreams. Generally, a great team can afford one loss if they can put together enough quality wins and cap it off with a conference championship. The Buckeyes might be able to make the College Football Playoff with one loss, but it’s not a guarantee by any stretch.

The Big Ten season will begin on Oct. 23. Expect the unexpected this college football season. We’re looking forward to the all-out sprint towards a championship that we’re going to see this year.
