The Denver Broncos are taking full advantage of the legalization of online sports betting in Colorado. On Thursday, BetMGM announced a new partnership with the NFL team that will include a BetMGM Lounge at Mile High Stadium.

“We benefited from timing and Colorado was an early-mover as a state,” Broncos chief commercial officer Mac Freeman said via the Denver Post. “We were on top of the topic and engaging with a lot of folks that were in the space. When Colorado went live (on May 1), we were in position to have an idea of what we wanted to do and what we were looking for.”

“This partnership with the Broncos allows us to showcase not only a premier BetMGM sports betting and gaming platform, but also the world-class entertainment experiences delivered by MGM Resorts,” BetMGM Chief Marketing Officer Matt Prevost said in a statement.

“When we began the process of identifying potential partners in this category, our goal was to provide Broncos fans with unique ways to engage with sports betting, ” said Mac Freeman, the Denver Broncos Chief Commercial Officer. “Together with BetMGM, we can now offer our fans and M life Rewards members in Colorado new opportunities such as an in-stadium gaming lounge, VIP travel packages to MGM Resorts around the country, and a free-to-play game through our mobile app.”

In addition to the BetMGM Lounge at Mile High Stadium, this partnership will include travel packages for fans, in-stadium promotions, signage, and a free-to-play mobile game.

Pro Sports Gaining Comfort With Sports Betting

This is another major move by the Broncos. In June, the NFL franchise announced a partnership with FanDuel Sportsbook, making the Broncos the first NFL team to ink such a deal. In addition to BetMGM and FanDuel Colorado, Denver has also partnered with Betfred USA.

The Denver Broncos are going to be trendsetters in the NFL betting category. With sports betting legalization sweeping the country, expect more and more professional teams to agree to these types of partnerships. The Detroit Tigers became the first MLB team to do so via PointsBet, but it’s abundantly clear that this is going to become more prevalent throughout U.S. professional sports.
