Matt Corral Heisman Trophy Odds Update
The Heisman Trophy favorite is still Matt Corral, whose odds went from +200 to +150 on DraftKings Sportsbook after Ole Miss’ bye in Week 4. This weekend will be huge for Corral, as the Rebels take on the Alabama Crimson Tide for a SEC showdown. Corral is averaging nearly 400 total yards per game and has scored 14 touchdowns in three games.
Here’s a look at some betting odds movement from BetMGM.

This is showing that Corral is getting the most bets ticket-wise, but not yet on the total money. With that said, he is the biggest liability at BetMGM which explains the rise in odds movement.

This is the week for Ole Miss. They face off against Alabama in what promises to be one of the biggest matchups of the season. If Corral has a great performance, he will likely become juiced to win the Heisman Trophy.

Desmond Ridder Heisman Odds Improve
The quarterback of a top-10 ranked team in college football always has a chance to be in the Heisman race should the offense flow that way, and that’s the case with Ridder. In three games, Ridder has 748 yards and seven scores through the air and has added two scores on the ground. While his numbers aren’t on par with other top QBs, there is a long way to go and Ridder’s biggest numbers are ahead of him. Here’s a look at his odds movement over the last month.
- Entering Week 1: +4000
- Week 2: +3000
- Week 3: +2000
- Entering Week 4: +1900
- This week: +1500
Week 5 is a battle for Cincinnati, as Ridder and the Bearcats take on Notre Dame on the road. If they win this week, they become a likely top-6 team in the hunt for the college football playoff and Ridder’s Heisman odds rise.
Is JT Daniels a Heisman Trophy Candidate?
Some of the craziest odds movement in the Heisman Trophy market has come on Georgia’s quarterback JT Daniels odds. Before the season, he was 13/1 to win, then after the first two weeks fell hard to 70/1. With that said, his odds sharply rose back to +2750 before settling at 25/1 this week. Daniels has just five touchdown passes in three games, and only 567 yards. He will need some massive games soon to stay on the list, but at 25/1 entering Week 5 he’s worth keeping an eye on.

- Week 2: +1300
- Week 3: +7000
- Entering Week 4: +2750
- This week: +2500

The Bulldogs of Georgia face off against Arkansas in an awesome SEC matchup. Should Georgia be upset, that would hurt Daniels’ Heisman odds, for sure.
