The most prestigious trophy in all of collegiate athletics is the Heisman Trophy, which makes it a popular betting market. College football bettors have placed wagers all throughout the offseason, and will continue to wager during the season as the odds shift on a week-to-week basis. After Week 1, these odds have certainly shifted for many of the sport’s top quarterbacks. With Alabama rolling, Clemson faltering, and some prime performances from some top-tier talent, the Heisman Trophy market has moved quite a bit in a week.
Below, we take a look at the latest Heisman Trophy odds, a look at the movement after Week 1 in college football, and which players have taken the biggest leaps after one game.
Latest Heisman Trophy Odds
Here is a table showing you a look at the latest Heisman Trophy odds from various legal sportsbooks, where you can find the best prices. For example, you may see Spencer Rattler at +550 on DraftKings, but +900 at BetMGM. This would mean if you wish to wager, take BetMGM’s odds as they give you a higher payout.

Bryce Young Heisman Odds Soar
After a terrific performance in Week 1, Alabama’s Bryce Young has seen his Heisman Trophy odds skyrocket. Currently, his odds are as high as +350 (PointsBet and FanDuel) and he has overtaken Spencer Rattler as the consensus favorite to win the Heisman.
In Week 1 against Miami, Young completed 27 of his 38 passes for 344 yards and four touchdowns. He had just two carries for -1 yards (one was a sack), but his passing numbers against a ranked team has certainly caused some movement in the Heisman ranks. There was some speculation that Alabama’s offense would be a tad different this year with new coaches and players, but it looks like the same old high-powered machine. This is great news for those who have wagered on Young when he was 10/1 to win the award.

DJ Uiagalelei Heisman Trophy Odds Fall
Clemson was the complete opposite of Alabama in Week 1, as they fell to Georgia and was only able to put together one scoring drive that resulted in just three points. This did not bode well for Clemson QB DJ Uiagalelei’s Heisman Trophy chances. He threw for just 178 yards, no touchdowns and one interception on 37 total attempts and lost 22 yards on the ground on 14 attempts (mostly due to sacks). With such a limited schedule, poor games statistically (and games that result in a loss) are bad news for a Heisman hopeful.
The good news for those holding DJU Heisman tickets is that his schedule gets much easier going forward for the rest of the season. There is a chance Clemson will not face another ranked opponent for the rest of the season, maybe until the ACC Championship. While this may not help Clemson’s strength of schedule, DJU should post some incredibly statlines against less-talented competition.
