Heisman Trophy Odds 2020

The college football season continues to roll along despite shutdowns and major players going down with coronavirus. The eventful Week 10 of the season saw some major upsets. Trevor Lawrence is still among the favorites despite missing the last two weeks with coronavirus. Justin Fields and Mac Jones join Lawrence at the top, but Kyle Trask is making a run as well.

Trask dropped in Heisman Trophy odds significantly in recent weeks. Florida suffered a serious coronavirus outbreak so he was out of sight and out of mind for many bettors. But in a marquee matchup with Georgia, Trask put up a career-high in yards with 474 and threw for four touchdowns as well. He’s up to 1,815 yards and 22 touchdowns in just five games this year.

The Gators are in a prime position to win the SEC East and likely face Alabama in the SEC Championship game. If Trask continues to play well and leads Florida to their first SEC Championship since 2008, he should be in the thick of the Heisman Trophy race.

The top six favorites to win the Heisman Trophy are quarterbacks right now. Fields, Jones, Lawrence, and Trask are at the top of the leaderboard, but Ian Book of Notre Dame and Zach Wilson of BYU are still within striking distance as well.

Devonta Smith of Alabama is the only non-quarterback in the top 10 of Heisman Trophy odds right now. The wide receiver is unlikely to win considering how difficult it would be for him to leapfrog his teammate Mac Jones.

Here are how the Heisman Trophy odds stack up at DraftKings Sportsbook and FanDuel Sportsbook.
