Through nine weeks of the NFL season, we still have a team without a win (Jets), an undefeated team (Steelers), and countless teams moving up and down as far as their Super Bowl odds. With Week 10 approaching, teams are continuing to separate themselves and we are seeing true contenders and pretenders. We are seeing the cream of the crop rise to the top in the Chiefs, Saints, and Steelers joining the likes of the Ravens, Packers, and Bucs. Let’s go over those teams that have seen their odds rise, fall, and more here.
Week 10 has begun, and the top six teams have already separated themselves from the rest of the pack. The Chiefs lead at +350, but the Steelers, Saints, and Bucs are just behind. Here is a look at the latest Super Bowl odds movement.
Latest Super Bowl Odds
When it comes to Super Bowl odds movement, there is no bigger measuring stick than when two contenders face off and one team destroys the other. That is what we say in Week 9, as the Saints crushed the Bucs. This caused the Saints’ Super Bowl odds to be cut in half (and then some) as it stands at +700 from +1500 at DraftKings Sportsbook. A few other teams saw their odds increase, but many teams’ odds fell in Week 9 to Week 10. Let’s take a look.

As the tweet above says, the Saints were “eating Ws” as Jameis Winston got to play in a victory over his former team. The Saints were +1500 to win the Super Bowl entering Week 9, but came out with +700 odds after the convincing win. While the Saints have not been perfect this season, two wins over the Bucs and a really high-powered and versatile offense could lead them to the promised land. The Saints take on the 49ers in Week 10, and they are heavily favored at home in New Orleans.

Speaking of the 49ers, San Francisco’s NFL team is on a horrible downswing in terms of their future for the 2020 season. Unfortunately, injuries have decimated the 49ers’ once dominant roster after losing Jimmy Garoppolo, George Kittle, and plenty of impact players in the trenches and skill guys such as Deebo Samuel, Raheem Mostert and more. Entering Week 9, the 49ers were +3300 to win the Super Bowl but after a big loss to the Packers. Now, the 49ers are +6000 to win the Super Bowl, tied with the Dolphins and Browns.

Each and every week, odds movement has produced a ton of results for each and every team. As the season goes on, more teams will see their odds fall than rise, as the cream of the crop will be the only teams with odds rising. After Week 9, eight teams saw their odds rise including the Saints and Packers. A whopping 17 teams had odds fall, but that is expected as we are at the turning point of the NFL season. Here is a deeper look at which teams’ stock is up, and whose are down.
Super Bowl Odds Movement – Stock Up
Team | Current Super Bowl Odds | Week 9 to Current Movement |
New York Giants | +35000 | +15000 |
Atlanta Falcons | +17500 | +2500 |
Miami Dolphins | +6000 | +1000 |
New Orleans Saints | +700 | +800 |
Green Bay Packers | +1000 | +400 |
Buffalo Bills | +1800 | +400 |
Los Angeles Rams | +2500 | +300 |
Tennessee Titans | +2500 | +300 |
With just eight teams seeing their odds rise in Week 9, we are starting to see just who the true contenders are in terms of the Super Bowl. The teams that saw the biggest odds movement was the Giants and the Falcons, but neither team is a true threat to win the Super Bowl. The Dolphins’ odds rose from +7000 to +6000, but they aren’t considered a true threat either. The teams that saw significant movement are the Saints, Packers, Bills, Rams, and Titans. One team to watch for is the Buffalo Bills, whose odds have crept up to 18:1 on the season.

Indianapolis Colts | +3000 | -500 |
Arizona Cardinals | +3300 | -500 |
Seattle Seahawks | +1100 | -300 |
Tampa Bay Buccaneers | +900 | -250 |
A ton of teams saw their odds movement go down, lead by the New York Jets moving to +250000. Let’s face it, they are not winning the Super Bowl. They may not even win a football game. The same goes for the Washington Football Team, Broncos, Bengals, Chargers, Lions, Panthers, and Texans. The teams that saw their odds trend down but are significant to the playoffs are:
- 49ers +3300 to +6000
- Bears +6000 to +7500
- Browns +5000 to +6000
- Colts +2500 to +3000
- Cardinals +2800 to +3300
