Super Bowl Odds 2021

The National Football League has certainly not let anyone down in terms of the product on the field, with another terrific week of football. The Las Vegas Raiders won their first game in Allegiant Stadium with a thrilling upset over the New Orleans Saints, the Dallas Cowboys won a thriller over the Atlanta Falcons, and the Green Bay Packers continue to score points at an alarming rate. What will Week 3 bring? Time will tell, but after Week 2 ended the Super Bowl odds moved. Let’s take a look at the updated odds, which teams have seen the most movement (up or down), and more.

Updated 2021 Super Bowl Odds: Chiefs and Ravens Lead

One of the most interesting betting markets to watch after each week of NFL games is the Super Bowl odds. With how important each game is, the odds will drastically change after each week of games for many reasons. Whether a team is upset, a major player is injured, or a player performs poorly…odds movement will occur from a variety of reasons. As you can see, the odds vary at different sportsbooks as well. After Week 2, the Baltimore Ravens are the favorites at PointsBet at +450, but they can be had at +500 at FanDuel Sportsbook. The Chiefs are +550 at both BetMGM and FanDuel Sportsbook. Keep an eye on the best prices, so you can maximize your return on your futures bets!

Philadelphia Eagles Odds Fall After Another Loss

The Philadelphia Eagles are struggling. From injury problems to Carson Wentz’ struggles, it has not been a good start for the Eagles as they are 0-2. After an upset in Week 1 to the Washington Football Team, getting destroyed by the Los Angeles Rams did not help their cause, and the Super Bowl odds have fallen all the way to +4000 at DraftKings Sportsbook. The Eagles are 0-2, yes…but the major problem lies within the remainder of their schedule. The Eagles still have to face the following teams, all games in which they are likely underdogs:

  • 49ers
  • Steelers
  • Ravens
  • Seahawks
  • Packers
  • Saints
  • Cardinals

Add these games to the remaining five divisional matchups and it does not bode well for the Eagles’ Super Bowl aspirations, as reflected in their current odds. Here is a look at the Eagles odds movement since Week 1.

Team Current Super Bowl Odds Before Week 2 Before Week 1 Change
Philadelphia Eagles +4000 +2500 +2200 -1800

Minnesota Vikings Odds Plummet After Week 2 Defeat

Team Current Super Bowl Odds Before Week 2 Before Week 1 Change
Minnesota Vikings +6000 +3300 +2800 -3200

On social media, fans of the Minnesota Vikings are already talking about drafting Trevor Lawrence first overall in the NFL Draft. Not exactly a fanbase that is looking at the Super Bowl! After being manhandled by the Green Bay Packers in Week 1, the Vikings then were beaten 28-11 by the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2. Kirk Cousins completed just 11 passes for 113 yards while throwing three interceptions. He was also sacked three times and was hurried countless others. The Vikings also lost Anthony Barr to injury, and are going nowhere fast. For a team with Super Bowl aspirations before the season, their odds have dropped all the way to +6000 at DraftKings Sportsbook, but they are also +10000 at PointsBet.

Super Bowl Odds Movement After Week 2

Last week, we discussed how the Arizona Cardinals’ odds improved to +3000. After their Week 2 victory, they are now as high as +1600 in some places. Here is a look at the teams that saw the biggest movement from a positive perspective after Week 2:

Team Current Super Bowl Odds Week 2 to Current Movement
Las Vegas Raiders +4000 +2000
Green Bay Packers +1600 +900
Chicago Bears +3300 +700
Los Angeles Rams +2200 +600
Arizona Cardinals +2500 +500
Seattle Seahawks +1200 +400
Indianapolis Colts +3000 +300
Dallas Cowboys +1800 +200
Buffalo Bills +2000 +200
Pittsburgh Steelers +1800 +200

The Las Vegas Raiders saw the biggest boost, jumping to +4000 at DraftKings Sportsbook after their Week 2 Monday Night Football upset over the New Orleans Saints. In addition, the Green Bay Packers saw another jump to +1600 as they become one of the favorites in the NFL after a Week 2 win. The Chicago Bears, Los Angeles Rams, and Arizona Cardinals also saw boosts to their Super Bowl odds.
