The 2021 NBA Draft is a day where 60 players achieve a lifelong dream. For bettors, it’s an opportunity to beat the sportsbooks. There isn’t a ton of drama surrounding the No. 1 pick this year. The expectation is that Cade Cunningham will be the pick for the Detroit Pistons.

There will be more suspense as the night goes on. DraftKings Sportsbook has odds listed on individual picks and for anyone to land in the top 10 of the NBA Draft. Let’s take a look at the NBA Draft betting odds and splits for the NBA Draft.

1st Overall Pick Betting Splits

Cunningham is the overwhelming favorite to go first overall on Thursday night. Every mock draft on every website on the internet has Cunningham going to Detroit and DraftKings listed him at -8000. With that said, Cunningham only accounts for 40% of the total handle and 31% of the total bet tickets.

Obviously, there are going to be a few people who throw a couple of bucks down on a complete long shot. This isn’t a slight against Corey Kispert, but anyone betting on him to go No. 1 might as well burn that money. Cunningham is going to be a Piston.

2nd & 3rd Overall Pick Splits

With Cunningham slated to go first overall, this draft starts with the Houston Rockets picking second. There was a brief moment in time where it looked like Detroit was looking at Jalen Green. The scoring guard is impressing teams during individual workouts.

Evan Mobley and Jalen Suggs were once looked at as legitimate threats to go second in this draft, but there seems to be a distinct order developing. It looks like the draft will go, Cunningham, Green, Mobley, Suggs, and then Scottie Barnes.

The betting splits show that the public is leaning that way too. Green and Mobley are both bringing in at least 50% of the total handle for the second and third picks, respectively.

To Be Drafted Top 10 Betting Splits

With the top of the draft looking fairly predictable, let’s take a look at a market with a little more volatility. The first five picks look set — Cunningham, Green, Mobley, Suggs, and Barnes. After those five, James Bouknight, Moses Moody, Franz Wagner, and Josh Giddey are all at minus-odds to go in the top 10.

Jonathan Kuminga is not listed on the betting splits, but it would be shocking to see him fall out of the top 10. He has been mocked to go as high as four by some outlets.

There are a few guys who might be worth investing in as a top-10 pick. Alperen Sengun dominated the Turkish League, winning MVP as a 19-year-old. He’s been flying up draft boards throughout the summer.

Davion Mitchell is another name to watch. His remarkable play in the NCAA Tournament helped lead Baylor to a championship and he upped his draft stock in the process. There might be a team out there who buys into his toughness and defense as a way to change the culture.

No matter what you choose to bet on, there are a bunch of interesting props on the 2021 NBA Draft.
