The Lakers opened up as the heavy favorites in this series and those odds have only grown even more lopsided in the wake of the Lakers’ dominant win on Wednesday. The NBA Finals odds are stacked against Miami right now.
Lakers – Heat Game 2 Odds
The Lakers are at -9.5 on the spread line and a ridiculous -455 on the moneyline. For reference, those moneyline odds roughly convert to an 82% chance at winning. That’s a sizeable difference from Game 1 where the Lakers were hovering around -200 on the moneyline.
The total points are set to 216.5. That’s right around where it was for Game 1 and the total points ended up going under by a hair at 214.
Injuries are going to play a major factor in how Game 2 shakes out. Jimmy Butler sprained his ankle in Game 1, but played through it. Bam Adebayo suffered a shoulder injury and was forced to leave the game. Meanwhile, Goran Dragic had to leave in the first half with a plantar fascia tear. Dragic and Adebayo are doubtful for Game 2.
Beating the Lakers would be tough for the Heat even with a healthy roster. Without Adebayo or Dragic, their second and third best players, it’s going to be damn near impossible. It’s not surprising to see the Lakers open as heavy favorites in Game 2.

Picks and Prediction
Who has the guts to take the Heat after watching Game 1? Not me. Take the Lakers laying the points considering the fact that the Heat are likely to be without at least one and maybe two of their best players. LeBron James and Anthony Davis are on a mission to win the NBA Finals and it’s hard to see them having a let-down game on Friday night.
If you’re looking for a prop bet to go with, Heat first to 10 points (+125) is an intriguing play. Miami burst out to a fast start in Game 1 before they fell apart. If they come out hot from three-point range, they could easily jump out to a quick lead before the Lakers get settled in.
Final Score Prediction: Lakers win 115-101
