The Los Angeles Lakers still have the upper hand in the NBA Finals, but the Miami Heat proved in Game 5 that they aren’t going away quietly. Jimmy Butler’s triple-double and clutch buckets late led the way for the Heat as they outlasted LeBron James and the Lakers.

Unfortunately, injuries have played a major part in this series. Bam Adebayo missed two games, but now he’s back and looks fully healthy. Goran Dragic left Game 1 with a foot injury and still has yet to return to the floor. Now, the injury bug might be biting Los Angeles. Towards the end of Game 5, Anthony Davis was hobbled, and although he kept playing through his injury, he looked a little off.

Here’s how the odds stack up in Game 6 and a look at some of the interesting prop bets on the board.

Lakers – Heat Game 6 Odds

The odds on Game 6 are trending towards the Heat. The Lakers have been as high as 10-point favorites going into games in these NBA Finals. At times, they’ve looked like the dominant team in the series, but don’t sleep on the Heat. Since the third quarter of Game 1 ended, the Heat are outscoring the Lakers 467-461.

That should tell us that these are two evenly matched teams who can go punch for punch with one another. The end of Game 5 is further proof of that. Every time LeBron made a play, Jimmy Butler answered.

Even though the Lakers are, rightfully, still the favorites to win Game 6 and the NBA Finals as a whole, the Heat are still dangerous. As long as Butler continues to play at a high level, Miami has a chance.

Anthony Davis was shaken up in Game 5, but he already said he’s going to play in Game 6. That’s obviously good news for the Lakers but it still remains to be seen how healthy he really is. If he’s a step slower, he’ll have a tougher time dealing with Bam Adebayo.

With how even most of these games have been, the Heat with the points is the best bet for Game 6.
