NFL Preseason Odds Week 2
Yes, you can bet on the NFL preseason. With only two games this year, there are not many reps in the preseason for players to get acclimated to their new teams. With that said, will starters play more often? Less often? Time will tell, but there is always an edge to be had in the preseason when following reports.

NFL Preseason Picks This Week
Are you looking to bet on the preseason for Week 2? Here are our betting picks for this weekend’s games in the NFL preseason.
- Baltimore Ravens (-3) vs. Carolina Panthers
- Indianapolis Colts (+2.5) vs. Minnesota Vikings
- Tennessee Titans (+3) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
We have three picks this week, focused around some preseason trends. The Ravens have not lost in the preseason in literally years, as the organizational depth proves year in and year out. Given the Panthers’ struggles with the Colts last week, this is a solid play at -3. The Colts are underdogs to the Vikings, who clearly are not taking the preseason seriously with the lack of starters playing in any facet. As for the Titans, they are getting three points against Tampa who is already confirmed to be sitting most of their starters.
Bucs’ HC Bruce Arians said that he does not expect Tom Brady play Saturday in Tampa’s second preseason game against the Titans. And he won’t be alone. “We probably won’t play any starters,” Arians said.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) August 16, 2021
For last week’s picks, we went 3-1 against the spread. Here were the picks.
- Buffalo Bills (-2.5) vs. Detroit Lions (Loss)
- Arizona Cardinals (-1.5) vs. Dallas Cowboys (Win)
- Denver Broncos (-1) vs. Minnesota Vikings (Win)
- Cincinnati Bengals (+6) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Win)
While betting the preseason does not include the same level of handicapping as the regular season, the teams with depth tend to play well and games are usually quite close.
