Playoff football is a rush, and a very popular betting market given the amount of good football teams, small spreads, and the small amount of games available after 13+ each week for the last four months.
DraftKings Sportsbook provides odds and public betting trends for each game of Wild Card Weekend. Let’s dive into it! It’s more important than ever to make sure you are playing at legal online sportsbooks like DraftKings. DraftKings Sportsbook is currently available in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, West Virginia, Indiana and New Hampshire.

NFL WILD CARD WEEKEND BETS
— Action Rush (@ActionRushBets) January 3, 2020
Buffalo Bills @ Houston Texans
The Texans are -3, and 66% of the money is on the Bills +3, with 59% of the bets on the same.
The total is 41.5, and the public is split. 51% of the handle and bets are on the over, with 49% to the under.
Overall, the public believes in the Bills +3 and over 41.5.
All season long, the Buffalo Bills have been under the radar. To think that they have 66% of the money on them at +3 in a playoff game is incredible, but it is deserved. The Bills have one of the NFL’s best defenses, and the offense is good enough to move the football.
With DraftKings Sportsbook having a liability on the Bills, this will be an interesting one to watch between Josh Allen and Deshaun Watson.
Tennessee Titans @ New England Patriots
The Patriots are the favorite, being favored by -4.5. With that being said, 62% of the money is on the Titans +4.5, and 57% of the bets are on the same.
The total sits at 43.5, with heavy money on the over at 72% over.
The betting public believes in the Titans +4.5 and the over. The public is against the Patriots, insane to think about.
The public is betting against Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. At home. In the playoffs. Against the Titans.
It is crazy to think, but it is true. Even the moneyline bets favor the Titans (69% of the money) as everyone has lost faith in the Patriots.
When, in the last seemingly two decades, have you been able to bet on Tom Brady and Bill Belichick at home against the public? Now is your chance.
Minnesota Vikings @ New Orleans Saints
This is a massive spread for a playoff game, with the Saints being -8. The public also is heavily on the Saints with 94% of the money and 93% of the bets on NO -8.
The total in this game is also the highest of the slate, with a total of 48. A massive 90% of the money and bets are on the over.
The betting public HEAVILY believes in the Saints -8 and OVER 48 points.
Eight points is a massive spread, but the Saints are very dangerous offensively. That is the main reason why 90% of the money is on 48, as the Vikings offense can score as well.
Seeing 94% of the money on one side is scary for anyone, but we know DraftKings Sportsbook will be rooting for the Vikings this weekend. Only 5% of the money for the moneyline bets have come on the Vikings too, so the public is expecting a clear Saints victory.
Seattle Seahawks @ Philadelphia Eagles
Seattle is 1.5-point favorites and have a massive 88% of the money on them to cover this week.
The total sits at 46 points, and there is 64% of the money on the over, and 63% of the bets there as well.
Bettors are heavily on the Seahawks -1.5 and over 46 this weekend.
Home underdogs in the playoffs?!
That is the NFC East for you, as the oft-injured Eagles have just 12% of the money bet on them at +1.5. What is interesting is that 28% of the money on the moneyline bets have come on the Eagles, which is 16% higher on an underdog. At just 1.5 points, you would think bettors would take that…but it’s not always smart money.
If you are betting the Eagles this weekend, be sure to keep in mind that you are betting against the public, so you are on the books‘ side.
