With the PGA Championship finally taking place this weekend, bettors have their first chance to bet on a PGA Tour major in 2020. The field is stacked with big names and top talent. Users on DraftKings Sportsbook are all over Brooks Koepka, who is one of the favorites leading up to the PGA Championship.
Koepka is bringing in 15% of the total handle and 11% of all bets put down on the PGA Championship. He looked good last week at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational, finishing in a tie for second. Despite his strong finish last weekend, Koepka has been up and down since the PGA Tour’s return. He’s missed two cuts in his last five events, but he also has two top-10 finishes.
Speaking of the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational, Justin Thomas won that tournament by three strokes. Thomas is the odds-on favorite so he isn’t seeing a ton of action, but he’s still pulling in 5% of the total handle.

Everybody Loves Tiger Woods
You can expect bettors to go heavy on Tiger Woods anytime he tees it up. He’s such a big draw for bettors and it’s never surprising to see him at the top of the betting splits. In this case, he accounts for 8% of the total handle and 6% of total bets. His odds to win the PGA Championship have slid considerably and that shouldn’t come as a major surprise.
Tiger nearly missed the cut in his only PGA Tour appearance since the shutdown. After just barely making the cut, Woods finished in 40th place at The Memorial Tournament.
Betting the four-time PGA Championship winner to win it all probably isn’t the move this weekend, but DraftKings Sportsbook is offering even odds on Woods to make the cut. They are boosting these odds from -355 to +100. As we know from The Memorial, making the cut isn’t a lock for Tiger these days, but those odds are tough to pass up. If you’re looking for some kind of value this weekend, there it is.
