The Indiana Pacers are linking up with PointsBet Sportsbook on a partnership deal that will make the sportsbook the official betting partner of the team. With legal online sports betting in Indiana, the Pacers represent a major opportunity for PointsBet to increase its reach and influence among Indiana bettors.
“This corporate partnership with PointsBet represents a real win for both companies,” said Rick Fuson, Pacers Sports & Entertainment president and COO. “We look forward to welcoming them in as a very visible brand at the Fieldhouse and through our various channels.”
“PointsBet was thrilled to unveil the fastest sports betting app in Indiana earlier this year, powered by our best-in-market proprietary technology, premium brand mentality, and clear points of difference via our product features that bettors can’t get elsewhere,” noted Johnny Aitken, PointsBet USA CEO. “Indiana represents a massive opportunity for PointsBet, and we will take a heavily localized approach to ensure we are delivering the best overall customer experience Indiana sports fans and bettors are seeking. We are very excited to bolster our presence within the Hoosier State and surrounding areas, as well as to Indiana Pacers fans around the globe via this unique partnership, working collaboratively with a first-class organization to enhance the NBA fan experience and excitement created within venue or watching at home.”
PointsBet Sportsbook Is On The Rise
Although PointsBet Sportsbook might not be the most well-known brand in the U.S. market, don’t sleep on them. PointsBet is on the rise and this partnership with the Pacers is another example of how they are quickly gaining relevance.
PointsBet recently became the first sportsbook ever to partner with a team in Major League Baseball and in the state of Michigan. Watch any Detroit Tigers home game and you are bound to see plenty of PointsBet signage around Comerica Park. In addition to the signage, PointsBet is promoted on the Detroit Tigers Radio Network.
Expect similar branding opportunities with the Pacers. They plan to feature PointsBet signage on phone charging stations, the scorer’s table, and the “apron.” The “apron” is the out-of-bounds space located between the bench and the baseline. PointsBet will be the first sportsbook in NBA history to have signage in this area.
