What a heartbreaker for Duke basketball players, fans, and coaches. After a tough year battling through COVID-19, cancellations, and a star player leaving the team, Duke had won a few games in a row in the ACC tournament. Their season is now over, it seems.
Another trickle down effect from this was the fact that legal sportsbooks removed the ACC tournament odds right away.
Duke has a positive COVID test and will not play tonight in the ACC tourney, source told @Stadium. Looks like season is over for the Blue Devils.

ACC Tournament Odds Removed After Duke COVID-19 Test
With news of the Duke Blue Devils positive test and the likely end to their season, the ACC Tournament odds were taken down at DraftKings Sportsbook. Just before the odds closed, Florida State was +300 to win the tournament. With Duke out, regardless of their record, the tournament has a big drop off in terms of talent with the teams remaining. Here was a look at the ACC Tournament odds before it began.
- FSU +300
- UVA +350
- GT +600
- VT +600
- UNC +750
- Louisville +1000
- Clemson +1200
- Duke +2000
What Does This Mean for Louisville?
Louisville lost to Duke in the ACC Tournament, just one day before the Duke positive COVID-19 test. What does this mean for them for the rest of the college basketball season.
Most bracketologists still have them getting into the NCAA Tournament, but will they have to quarantine and miss the big dance? Time will tell, but certainly something to keep an eye on. As of this news, Louisville was +6000 to win the National Title on DraftKings Sportsbook.
