People still don’t seem to believe that the Chicago Bears are for real, but they just keep winning. They have another tough test on Monday Night Football this week with the Los Angeles Rams. Both teams are in the thick of the playoff hunt in the NFC and it’s too early to say definitively, but they could be Super Bowl contenders when it’s all said and done.

The Action Rush Monday Night Football betting guide has the best odds, interesting props, analysis, and everything else you need to know for Rams vs. Bears in Week 7.

Rams – Bears Odds MNF Week 7

The Rams are currently -6 on the spread line and -265 on the moneyline. Even though the Rams have a worse record than the Bears and are fresh off of a loss in Week 6, oddsmakers still feel that they have a significant edge going into this game.

Both defenses have been strong to start out the 2020 season, so it’s no surprise to see the total points mark set to 45. The Rams and Bears are both giving up 19.0 and 19.3 points per game, respectively.

MNF Preview & Betting Angles

When we think of the Rams of the last few years, Sean McVay’s innovative offense is usually one of the first things that comes to mind. However, Los Angeles is driven by its defense right now. Jalen Ramsey is back to being one of the best cornerbacks in football and Aaron Donald could be the best player in the entire NFL.

Similarly, the Bears are a team that will go as far as the defense takes them. Khalil Mack is one of the best edge rushers in football and he is capable of blowing up an opposing team’s entire offensive gameplan singlehandedly. We always love to see high-scoring games on Monday Night Football, but this week’s matchup will be all about the defense.

Both teams rank in the top 10 in scoring defense and top five in total defense. In terms of betting, the Rams and Bears are both 2-4 when it comes to over-unders this season. The Bears have yet to allow an opponent to score 30 points this season and the Rams have held five of six opponents to 24 points or fewer. The lone exception was a 35-32 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Although we expect this to be a defensive battle, don’t sleep on the offenses. In that loss to the Bills, the Rams showed that they can put up a ton of points in a hurry. McVay is one of the best offensive coaches in football and if anyone can figure out a way to crack this Chicago defense, it might be him.

On the other side, the Bears are still a work-in-progress offensively. Chicago gave the reins to Mitchell Trubisky to start the season but quickly ceded control to former Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles. Outside of a weak showing against the Indianapolis Colts, the Bears offense has looked competent under Foles’ leadership. If you listen to the quarterback talk about the state of the offense, he knows things need to improve. He believes they will.

Trying to get the offense right against the Rams is a tough ask for Foles and his teammates, but the Bears continue to win in spite of the slow-moving offense.

The Bears are 4-2 against the spread in 2020 compared to the Rams who are 3-3. Los Angeles is on a five-game home winning streak against NFC opponents, but Chicago is undefeated at home this season. Something has to give in that matchup. It’s also worth noting that 11 of the Rams’ last 13 games have gone under the total points.

Betting Picks & Score Prediction

The under would seem like a safe bet given the recent trends and the strong defenses on both sides of the field, but 45 is a very low number. It’s too low to take when there are better options on the board.

Take the Bears with the points and look for Nick Foles to will his team to victory once again. How often Mack can get to Jared Goff will play a big factor in this game as well. Mack is the type of player who can turn a game on its head with one forced fumble or a big sack. He’s the main reason why we love the Bears here.

Final Score Prediction: Bears win 24-20
