Colorado +17 vs. TAMU
Scott Van Pelt does it like no one else, saying this is “too many points” for Colorado.
Rice +9 vs. Houston
SVP mentions that Rice needs to stay away from “Bad Beats”, and cover this nine points against Houston.
Arkansas State +5.5 vs. Memphis
5.5-point underdogs to Memphis? No problem, says SVP as he likes Arkansas State this week.
Arkansas +7 vs. Texas
All time, SVP is 6-2 picking Arkansas. He is doing it again this week against Texas, who are touchdown favorites.
Missouri +5.5 vs. Kentucky
These odds are far too low for Missouri, as SVP says this should be closer to a touchdown.
Appalachian State +9 vs. Miami
Bama hangover? Even after a big loss, SVP likes App State to cover against the U.
Washington +7 vs. Michigan
Washington lost against Montana last week, but SVP is still taking Washington at +7.
East Carolina +2 vs. South Carolina
ECU opened as a favorite, but SVP likes them still here despite the odds movement.
Stanford Steve’s Week 2 CFB Picks
Steve likes Pittsburgh -3 against Tennessee this week, after some wins last week.

Is SVP a good handicapper?
Scott Van Pelt has never claimed to be a good handicapper, as his segment is meant for entertainment with a chance at finding some winners. With that said, he has found some relative success over the years. Here is a look at his betting record from this season, along with a historical look at the 2020-2021 season.
Week 1 – SVP went 4-1 last week after an awesome finish between Florida State and Notre Dame. Here were his bets.
- VT +5.5 (Win)
- Penn State +5.5 (Win)
- Louisiana Lafayette +9 (Loss)
- UTSA +5 (Win)
- Florida State +7 (Win)
Milton was a guest on our show several times after his injury. It was hard not to root for him. But a whole lot harder to believe he’d make it back. He just did and did that. Damn, that’s awesome.
