It’s Week 10 already in college football, and Week 9 in the NFL. This means yet another week of “Winner$” from ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt on the midnight SportsCenter. Each and every week, SVP makes his favorite picks against the spread for the weekend ahead in collegiate and professional football. We have tracked SVP’s picks and history for the last two seasons, and this year SVP is off to a great start with his picks.

SVP will be the first one to say that he is not a professional handicapper, but he has been correct quite often so far in 2020. Either way, the “Winner$” segment is one of the most popular across sports television and it continues to be an entertaining bit. Here is a look at his Week 10 CFB picks, his Week 9 NFL picks, and tracking of his picks for 2020 so far.

Last week was another good one for SVP, as he went 3-2-1 in college football and 1-0 in the NFL. That means he was 4-2-1, bringing him to 26-20-1 on the season across both sports. Great start for the ESPN personality.

SVP College Football Picks – Week 10

Each week, Scott Van Pelt picks a handful of college football games on his show in his “Winner$” segment. This has been a really good year so far for SVP picking CFB games. Here is a look at his college football picks for Week 10.

Boise State +3.5 vs. BYU

“Picking against BYU on Friday is dangerous, but we’re doing it anyway” says SVP. He takes Boise State against the Cougars.

Houston +13.5 vs. CIN

SVP is bold this week, taking another underdog against a good football team in Cincinnati.

Illinois +7 vs. MIN

This is the second week in a row SVP likes Illinois, and he goes back to the well at +7 again.

Iowa -6.5 vs. Michigan State

SVP says “who am I” for picking favorites, but that is what he does here with the Hawkeyes winning by a touchdown.

Rice -5 vs. UTSA

Rice? Yes, Rice. SVP likes Rice against UTSA in a game that likely won’t be wagered on by many.

South Carolina +10 vs. TAMU

In the SEC, SVP likes the Gamecocks getting 10 points against a very good Texas A&M program.

Buffalo Bills (+3) vs. Seattle Seahawks

SVP continues to pick against the Seahawks, and he does so again for Week 9 with the Buffalo Bills +3. Can Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills upset the Seahawks? SVP likes the points, but Seattle always seems to pull out a victory.
