After a thrilling game on Thursday night between Georgia State and Arkansas State, a game where ARST won 59-52, ESPN’s SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt aired as it does each week. In this weekly version of SportsCenter with SVP, he has a “Winner$” segment where he gives his favorite betting picks for each NFL and CFB week.

SVP is not a professional sports handicapper, but at times in the last few years he has ran hot and provided some picks. Nevertheless, SVP is one of the most popular and entertaining personalities in sports media. As we do each week, we’ll cover his picks, his track record and betting history, and more.

Last week was a good one for SVP, as he went 2-1 in CFB and 1-1 in the NFL for a total of 3-2 across five picks. Here is a look at SVP’s picks for Week 6 in the NFL and Week 7 in college football.

SVP College Football Picks – Week 7

For this week, SVP likes five games for CFB in Week 7. Here is who Scott Van Pelt likes in his “Winner$” segment for Week 7 in college football.

Tulane +6.5 vs. SMU

SVP likes five games this week for CFB after breaking the .500 mark. His first pick is Tulane getting just under a touchdown in what could be a high-scoring affair against SMU.

Houston +5 vs. BYU

The battle of the cougars! SVP had to recommend bet on this one, as both teams’ nicknames are the same. He likes the Texas version, getting points against an impressive BYU team.

Florida State +13.5 vs. UNC

SVP mentions “FSU has gotten to the point where they are 13.5-point underdogs at home“. SVP likes the points here, despite UNC’s ranking as one of the top teams in college football.

Arkansas +2 vs. Ole Miss

SVP said that Ole Miss cannot stop anyone, and he is right. That is the reason he likes Arkansas +2 for Week 7.

Mississippi State +5 vs. Texas A&M

Texas A&M just defeated the Florida Gators, but SVP likes Mississippi State to cover in a potential hangover game for the Aggies.

Scott Van Pelt NFL Picks Week 6

As SVP does each and every week in his “Winner$” segment, he picks his favorite NFL games. Here are the two games that SVP likes, for his Week 6 NFL picks.

Philadelphia Eagles +7.5 vs. Baltimore Ravens

Last week, SVP liked the Eagles +7 but lost on a backdoor cover with the Steelers scoring on 3rd and 8. He is going back to the well this week, picking Philly against the Ravens as they are getting a touchdown plus the hook.

Buffalo Bills +5 vs. Kansas City Chiefs

SVP likes the Bills to rebound in Week 6 after a brutal loss to the Titans in Week 5. Despite the Kansas City Chiefs being one of the best teams in the NFL, SVP is taking the points here and backs Buffalo.

SVP 2020 CFB Picks record improves to 7-6

In week 6 of college football, SVP’s record was 2-1, which moves his seasonal record to 7-6. Here is a look at who SVP liked last week:

  • ECU +4 vs. USF (Win)
  • TAMU +6.5 vs. Florida (Win)
  • Vanderbilt +14.5 vs. SCAR (Loss)

  • Vikings (+7) at Seattle (Loss)

As for the rest of the teams, Clemson, Notre Dame, Bama/UGA and others will still play as scheduled barring unforeseen circumstances. Here is a look at the latest odds:
