- Scott Van Pelt has started slow on his “Winner$” segment, going 0-3 combined in his NFL and College Football picks
- Let’s see SVP turns it around this week as he has four NFL picks and one CFB pick.
Sports fans everywhere have likely seen, heard, or are aware of Scott Van Pelt. Whether it is from old-school ESPN commercials, his infamous “Bad Beats” segment, or just his social media interactions, SVP is a character in every sense of the word. Each and every week, the legendary SVP provides his favorite picks on his “Winner$” segment on SportsCenter. While 2020 has not been a great one so far for SVP, it’s one of the more entertaining spots of the week for sports bettors, and if SVP is struggling, he will be the first to say to fade his picks! Let’s take a look at SVP’s picks for Week 2 in the NFL and Week 3 in CFB, along with recapping his record for the season and taking a look at the odds for this week’s games.
SVP College Football Picks – Week 3
Miami (+2) at Louisville
SVP looks for his first win of the year in college football, after a tough start through the first two weeks of the season. SVP is buying into the Miami (FL) hype, and taking them as an underdog against Louisville. This one is a battle of two very talented quarterbacks, and a lot of points are expected in what could be a barnburner. Bet (or fade) SVP’s picks at DraftKings Sportsbook!

Scott Van Pelt Week 2 NFL Picks
Kansas City Chiefs at Los Angeles Chargers (+8.5)
Scott Van Pelt is a fan of the underdogs in Week 2 in the NFL, despite the Falcons (+2.5) letting him down in Week 1. SVP starts off with the Chargers (+8.5) against the mighty Chiefs, in what is a very bold prediction. With that said, 8.5 points is a lot in the NFL.
Detroit Lions (+6) at Green Bay Packers
Secondly, SVP is not buying the Packers dominance in Week 1 against the Vikings, and likes the points from Matthew Stafford and the Lions at +6. The Packers defense struggled in Week 1, but that was overshadowed by a magical performance by Aaron Rodgers.
Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins (+5.5)
The Miami Dolphins are the third straight underdog that SVP likes for Week 2, as he has faith in Ryan Fitzpatrick and the ‘fins getting nearly a touchdown at home in Miami. The Buffalo Bills won in Week 1, but faced the lowly Jets. With SVP taking a home underdog, it is
expected that the Bills could win big based on SVP’s record so far./
Baltimore Ravens at Houston Texans (+7)
Most-lopsided early point-spread betting @FDSportsbook:
• 98% of money on Chiefs (-8.5) at Chargers
• 95% of money on 49ers (-7) at Jets
• 93% of money on Ravens (-7) at Texans
• 92% of money on Bills (-6) at Dolphins
• 88% of money on Packers (-6) vs. Lions

SVP is betting against the public in Week 2, as he is picking against not only the Chiefs, but the Baltimore Ravens. SVP likes Deshaun Watson, Will Fuller, and the Texans at home getting at touchdown. This makes four straight underdogs for SVP in Week 2, including a few that are betting against the public.
SVP CFB Picks Record Starts 0-2
In Week 2, Scott Van Pelt picked Western Kentucky +11.5 against Louisville, and took his second loss of the season to start 0-2. Louisville defeated Western Kentucky 35-21. Here is a look at SVP’s record by week:
- Week 1: 0-1
- Week 2: 0-1
