Super Bowl Odds 2021

The Seattle Seahawks are trying to recreate the “Legion of Boom” with Jamal Adams. The superstar safety clearly wanted to get as far away from the New York Jets as humanly possible after a very public contract dispute. The Jets were able to extract two first-round picks, a third-rounder, and safety Bradley McDougald in the deal.

Despite the massive amount of draft capital, the Seahawks gave up, acquiring Jamal Adams gives the defense serious punch next season. He’s the definition of an all-purpose safety. Adams is more than capable of dropping deep into coverage over the top. He’s also comfortable lining up man-to-man with any wide receiver or tight end. Perhaps most notably, the All-Pro is an absolute beast in the box in any kind of situation and he could be one of the best pass-rushing safeties in NFL history. Simply put, the guy can do it all.

How Does Jamal Adams Impact NFC West Odds?

Although the San Francisco 49ers are still the favorites to win the NFC West at +100, the Adams trade moved Seattle from +225 to +200. Sure, it’s only a slight shift in odds, but it’s something to watch for. The Los Angeles Rams (+525) and Arizona Cardinals (+750) are in the mix as well.
