Playoff hockey is back and every team is playing with one goal in mind: raising the Stanley Cup. With Qualifying Rounds and Round Robin play underway, bettors finally have a chance to see who came to play and who is destined for an early exit.

Bettors have been showing love to the Colorado Avalanche, and for good reason. They are bringing in the most bets and handle on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Avs are currently playing in the Round Robin phase for seeding purposes which means bettors won’t have to sweat out the possibility of an upset in a shortened five-game series.

The team that accounts for the second-most handle, the New York Rangers, are in a much different position. New York is entering Thursday’s game against the Carolina Hurricanes with their backs against the wall. The Hurricanes have jumped out to a 2-0 series lead and the Rangers are going to need to pull off three wins in a row just to make it out of the Qualifying Round.

The Pittsburgh Penguins, who are bringing in the third-highest handle, are in a similar position to the Rangers though not as dire. The Montreal Canadiens stole an overtime win in Game 1 to put the Penguins on their heels.

The Philadelphia Flyers and Boston Bruins round out the top five in handle. Bettors seem to love Eastern Conference teams to go all the way this year. Four of the top five and seven of the top 10 in handle hail from the East.
