Texans – Chiefs Playoffs Point Spread
The Chiefs are currently -9.5 favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook. That means the Texans are +9.5. Both prices are -110. This is the largest spread of any playoff game this week.
With Andy Reid and the Chiefs playing at home after a bye, Kansas City clearly has an advantage over the Texans. The Chiefs have won six straight games entering the Divisional Round, the defense has been improved and the offense still has Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce and more.

Over-Under Total At 51 Points
The opening total for Texans/Chiefs sits at 51 on DraftKings Sportsbook, with a -110 price on both sides. To no one’s surprise, this is the highest total on this slate of playoff games.
51 points means there has to be at least eight scores, as seven touchdowns and a field goal brings the total to 52 points (assuming all PATs are one-pointers and converted).
The Texans secondary is a unit to be exploited, and the total being at 51 shows just that. With the creativity of the Chiefs‘ passing attack and just how much speed Kansas City possesses, a lot of points could be scored in this one.
On the other side, Deshaun Watson, DeAndre Hopkins, and a healthier Will Fuller should contribute to the total as well. Keep in mind, the Texans also have one of the better ground attacks in the NFL, based on yards per carry.
Texans +360 Moneyline
With a massive spread, the money-line is expected to be large as well.
Currently, the Chiefs are -435 favorites to win straight up. The Texans are +360, and possess quite a bit of value if you truly believe the Texans win two in a row after beating the Bills in the Wild Card round.
A +360 money-line gets you $46 in payouts on a $10 bet.
Texans – Chiefs Playoff Prediction
The Chiefs are hot, they have an extra week of rest, an extra week of preparation (regardless of opponent), playing at home, and being healthier than the Texans.
Andy Reid off a bye is another factor to consider, where he has had massive success in his career in the regular season and in the playoffs. That is one reason why it was such a big win for the Chiefs to get that first round bye over the Patriots, who are now sitting at home.
With a massive spread, the betting public already seems to know who is likely to win. This is no different.
Kansas City Chiefs – 34
Houston Texans – 24
With the current lines, this means the Chiefs -9.5 and over 50.
70% of tickets and over 80% of the money are backing #Chiefs at PointsBet.
Professional money hit the over as well when 49 was available, pushing that number up.
