With NFL free agency underway, all eyes are focused on where future Hall of Fame QB will sign. Early in the offseason, he was heavily favored to return to the New England Patriots for the 2020 season. We have now learned that is not the case. Tom Brady tweeted that he will not return to the New England Patriots in a “shocking” announcement via twitter.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Are Heavy Favorites
In late February, Jeff Darlington reported that he would be “stunned if Tom Brady went back to New England.” He was right, and now the Tampa Bay Bucs are the favorites at -290. Tom Brady could be throwing passes to Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, but is Bruce Arians’ offense a good for an aging quarterback? In the past, Bruce Arians has been a max-protect, throw the ball down the field type of coach and offense, which does not exactly support Brady’s strengths at this point in his career.
ESPN’s @JeffDarlington on @GetUpESPN: “I’m now at the point where I would be stunned if Tom Brady went back to New England.”

Las Vegas Raiders Offer $30M Per Year?
On Valentine’s Day, rumors were that the Las Vegas Raiders (formerly Oakland) will offer Tom Brady a two-year deal at $30M per season to open the franchise’s move to Las Vegas. The Raiders offer a very good offensive line, a terrific running back, and some weapons…but they are moving to a new city with plenty of distractions. Is that something that Tom Brady wants? The Raiders signed Marcus Mariota as free agency opened, which adds a dent into the “Brady to Vegas” rumors.
I’m told 🏈Las Vegas is prepared to offer @TomBrady $60 million over 2 years.

This report along with others has brought some attention to the Raiders, and FanDuel Sportsbook has them at +1500. If that happens, what would the Raiders do with Derek Carr? Time will tell. What is interesting is that Raiders GM Mike Mayock is very outspoken, and has not denied this claim.
Brady Goes to Hollywood?
If Brady does not sign with the Bucs, FanDuel Sportsbook’s odds suggest the Los Angeles Chargers are next on the list. The Chargers have a need at quarterback with Philip Rivers gone, and have reportedly offered Brady $30M or more.

The Chargers have some very nice weapons that complement Brady’s ability as a short passer, with Austin Ekeler, Keenan Allen, and Hunter Henry. But, the Chargers have struggled to maintain a fanbase outside of San Diego. Is this the jolt they need on and off the field? Time will tell.
