NFL Wild Card weekend lived up to the hype, as usual. We are now down to the final 8 teams of the NFL playoffs and their Super Bowl journey. The Vikings went into New Orleans as +7.5 point dogs, +315 on the money-line, and got the win. The Vikings will move onto to play the SF 49ers in the NFL Divisional round as 6.5 point dogs.
Sunday also saw another outright dog hit, as the Seahawks won in Philly, but did not look great in the process. The money was heavy on Seattle all week, but came off a bit when with weekend line movement that saw the Eagles move to -1 at most legal online sportsbooks. After a 17-9 victory, the Seahawks will travel to Green Bay, where the Packers are favored by 4.
Latest Super Bowl Odds Heading Into Divisional Round
It comes as no surprise with Saints eliminated that the Seahawks and Packers would see their odds to win the Super Bowl improve. The Packers odds improved from 10/1 to roughly 7/1 win the Lombardi Trophy. The Seahawks improved from 25/1 to 12/1 odds to win Super Bowl 54.
In the AFC, Wild Card weekend winners are long shots to win the Super Bowl. The Texans are 25/1 odds to win and the Titans are 30/1. With both teams on the road facing the Ravens and Chiefs, it is easy to understand the long odds.[wpdatatable id=8]
