Trevor Lawrence and the Clemson Tigers continue to cruise through ACC play and oddsmakers seem to think Lawrence has the inside track at the Heisman Trophy this year. Lawrence is at +110 odds to win the award on DraftKings Sportsbook.
So far this season, Lawrence has thrown for 1140 yards, 10 touchdowns, and no interceptions in four blowout wins. He also has four rushing touchdowns for good measure. With the rest of the ACC looking awfully weak, Lawrence could start running away with the Heisman Trophy.
Ohio State’s Justin Fields could be his only challenger. The Buckeyes will start their season on Saturday, Oct. 24 and much like Clemson, they have an easy schedule this season.
Aside from a trip to Penn State in their second game and a meeting with Michigan in the last week of the season, there are no ranked teams on Ohio State’s schedule. If Fields is dominating his Big 10 competition, he could give Lawrence a run for his money when it comes to the Heisman Trophy.
Mac Jones Hits The Heisman Radar
After those two favorites, Alabama quarterback Mac Jones is a rising star. The Crimson Tide are generally known for their strong defense and ground-based offense, but that’s not the case this year. Jones has thrown for 400 yards twice this season. Jones’ main option, Jaylen Waddle, is also making his way into the Heisman conversation. The dominant wide receiver has put up three consecutive games with 100+ yards for Bama.

While Jones is rising, another SEC quarterback’s stock is falling. Kyle Trask and the Florida Gators couldn’t hold off Texas A&M this week and even though he had a strong game statistically, he’s dropping in Heisman odds.
