The NFL continues to trend towards high-flying offense each and every year. The offensive talent continues to improve as the league tweaks rules to encourage more offense.
In a deep field of teams, the Kansas City Chiefs are the favorite to score the most points this season. That should come as no surprise when you consider the fact that they have Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Tyreek Hill. The Chiefs can score at any time from anywhere on the field.
But Kansas City finished sixth in scoring last season and fifth in 2019. Is this the year they break through for bettors or is there value elsewhere on the board? Let’s take a look at the NFL odds for the highest-scoring team in the 2021 regular season.

Again, the Chiefs make a lot of sense as the favorites. They have the personnel and the coaching staff that will score tons and tons of points. Can they stay healthy for 17 games? That’s the big question for the Chiefs this year.
Rounding out the bottom of the list are the Houston Texans and New York Jets. The Texans have an uncertain future with Deshaun Watson’s precarious situation. As for the Jets, they are improving on the offensive side of the ball, but with a rookie quarterback and a heavy run game, they won’t score a ton of points.
What’s Up With The Green Bay Packers?
The Green Bay Packers finished first in scoring for the 2020 season, but there is no telling what the future holds. Reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers wants out of Green Bay. Whether or not the front office trades Rodgers remains to be seen.
The Packers are sitting at +1600 odds, which could be a steal or a complete reach. If Rodgers ends up playing out the 2021 season the Packers should finish somewhere in the top five in scoring. If Rodgers is gone, they would be lucky to finish in the top 10.
Buccaneers & Bills Looming
The Chiefs are the odds-on favorites and the Packers are the returning “champs” so to speak but don’t forget about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Buffalo Bills.
Both are Super Bowl contenders and it all starts with the quarterback. Tom Brady might not have the arm strength that he did in his younger days, but no quarterback in football has his feel for running a successful offense.
As for Josh Allen, he has all the physical tools that make a quarterback great. Now that he’s starting to put the mental game together, look out AFC defenses.
