Week 1 Update – Chiefs Favored as the NFL season starts
As the season starts with Week 1 beginning, the Chiefs are the Super Bowl favorite as high as +450 at BetMGM Sportsbook. Kansas City is just ahead of the defending champions in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are as high as +600 to win the Super Bowl. With Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce and a revamped offensive line, the Chiefs offense could take significant strides in terms of offensive efficiency, which is scary for the rest of the league. With that said, Tampa Bay returns all 22 of their starters from the Super Bowl roster, which is certainly a force to be reckoned with.

Teams to Watch – 2022 Super Bowl Odds Movement
If you have not wagered on any teams to win the Super Bowl yet, there are quite a few teams to watch whose odds have shifted one way or the other throughout the NFL offseason. Here is a look at some teams to watch in the Super Bowl odds market, as all three of the below teams have a chance to make some noise in the 2021-2022 season and will likely see odds movement during the year.
New England Patriots
After cutting Cam Newton and naming Mac Jones the starter, the Patriots’ Super Bowl odds rose to +3500. They were at 40/1 or above earlier in the offseason, so expect to see significant movement if Jones and the Pats’ start hot.
Green Bay Packers
The Packers saw the most significant odds movement throughout the offseason, with the saga of where Aaron Rodgers would play in 2021 bouncing from Denver to Green Bay during the early summer. The Packers’ odds rose to 14/1 after Rodgers decided to “come back”, and they settled at 13/1 at most books.
San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers’ odds movement will be the most intriguing to watch, as they have still yet to decide who will be the starter for the long term (in 2021, at least) between Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo. If Lance gets the nod early in the season, the Niners’ odds will certainly move and likely drastically as Lance seems to be a far more popular option amongst the masses.
