The NFL is down to the final four as we inch closer to the Super Bowl. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Buffalo Bills are entering Sunday’s games as the underdogs against the Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs, respectively. This shouldn’t come as a surprise given the fact that the Packers and Chiefs have been two of the favorites to win the Super Bowl all year long.
Let’s take a look at how the public is betting the NFC and AFC Championships on DraftKings Sportsbook.
NFC & AFC Championship Picks
Teams | Point Spread | % Handle | % Bets | Total Points | % Handle | % Bets | Moneyline | % Handle | % Bets |
TB Buccaneers | +3.5 | 31% | 30% | Over 51.0 | 63% | 66% | +155 | 39% | 47% |
GB Packers | -3.5 | 69% | 70% | Under 51.0 | 37% | 34% | -180 | 61% | 53% |
BUF Bills | +3 | 36% | 42% | Over 54.0 | 59% | 46% | +130 | 65% | 71% |
KC Chiefs | -3 | 64% | 58% | Under 54.0 | 41% | 54% | -148 | 35% | 29% |
It should come as no surprise that NFL Consensus Picks this week are going big on the favorites and the overs in both games. This is par for the course this year in the NFL and it’s not changing in the NFC or AFC Championship Games. Of course, there are some factors that could swing how the public is betting on these games.
Patrick Mahomes Concussion?
Patrick Mahomes was forced to leave Kansas City’s game against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday and he was evaluated for a concussion. Chad Henne looked good down the stretch for the Chiefs, but one would have to assume that the Bills will see some significant action if Mahomes is ruled out for the AFC Championship Game.
Brady vs. Rodgers
Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers will go down as two of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play in the NFL. Brady is heading to the 14th Championship Game of his career and his first in the NFC. Rodgers, who has one Super Bowl ring and is looking for a second, is the better player at this point in their careers, but don’t sleep on Brady.
Although the public is going big on Rodgers and the Pack, they are also all-in on the over. Could this turn into an old-fashioned shootout between Brady and Rodgers?
